New England born and bred, Catherine has been afflicted with wanderlust as long as she can remember. She has worked on an organic farm in rural France, coordinated farm tours in Pennsylvania, studied Anthropology of Food in London and Philadelphia, and worked as a cheesemonger in Massachusetts. For the past year, Catherine has been traveling around Europe and studying food in just about every way it can be studied as a Master's candidate in Food Culture and Communications at the University of Gastronomic Sciences, a school founded by the slow food movement in Parma, Italy. She considers herself a bit of a "special needs" eater as she is both a pescatarian and allergic to nuts. She now lives in Paris and could happily eat nothing but cheese everyday.
